Shackler's Revenge

I just listened to Guns N' Roses' "Shackler's Revenge" on the radio. It's supposed to be their big comeback hit, the first new song the band has come out with since they were actually still a band, instead of the offshoot that's essentially Axl N' Friends.

And it sucks. Bad.

It's bad enough Axl chose to keep the band going after Slash left, taking his mutant metal-blues to more Velvet-y pastures. But to replace him with a man who wears an upside-down KFC bucket on his head and a mask? Honestly??

Not to say that Buckethead isn't a talented guitarist, in fact, far from it. He's got great chops. Problem is, it's not Guns N' Roses anymore. It's turned into a Marilyn Manson-esque industrial avant-garde outfit... and it's just not right.

Chinese Democracy is the next St. Anger. You heard it here first.

So it goes,
- The Max
